A look back at year one — how a kitchen-table conversation became a community climate group, and where we're headed next.
Where we started
Mission Possible began with a small group of neighbours and a question: "What can a community actually do about climate, here, this year?" Not in twenty years. Not at a federal level. Here. This year.
The answer turned into conversations, the conversations turned into a plan, and the plan turned into Mission Possible.
What we did in year one
- Wrote, with the community, our Action Plan — a practical roadmap for cutting emissions in our patch
- Launched the Energy Advisory Service, now running monthly
- Hosted info sessions, home tours and workshops
- Built a small but mighty community of volunteers and members
What's next
More events, more home tours, more advisory sessions — and a growing focus on the adapting to climate change side of the plan as well as reducing emissions.
